Diana and Prince Charles

Diana played with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward as a child. In 1977, she would become reacquainted with their older brother, Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II.

When Diana and Charles became engaged in 1980, the media and paparazzi swarmed Diana and from that point forward, the paparazzis were never more than a step behind her in a relentless pursuit that became a sort of cat and mouse game that would last the rest of her short life. It wasn't uncommon for them to camp out in front of her apartment and follow her wherever she went.
